What is Mindful Kids & Parents?

Mindful Kids & Parents is a program attended by children aged 8-12 together with their parents. Learning through interactive games, parents and children learn quieting techniques they can use in stressful emotional situations.

The Mindful Kids & Parents curriculum is based on the Mindful Games program, developed by Susan Kaiser Greenland, combined with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts.

Children and parents will learn quieting techniques they can employ in stressful emotional situations. These mindfulness techniques are designed to:

  • Improve our concentration and attention
  • Improve our ability to calm down and manage stress
  • Increase our awareness of our bodies and feelings

Kimberley is hosting a 5-week Mindful Kids & Parents Program in Winter, 2018 at the Counselling and Mindfulness Clinic.



After School  from
4:00 - 5:00 PM


The Counselling and Mindfulness Clinic
(Wheelchair Accessible)



$500 for 5 sessions

(1-hour each)

Cost includes attendance of one child and one parent.

Covered by insurance programs.


Handouts are provided to each participant.

Each participant should bring a yoga mat and pillow.
